Catching up

Yes, It has been way too long. But I'm going to try to do better. It's not good when you tell people to follow you and then you don't up date once in a while.. LOL.

Well it has been an interesting year. Scott's business has been the worse that we have ever seen. Some months we did not know if we were going to get the bills paid. But God has been faithful and the bills have always gotten paid. I have been looking for a job for 14 months, but nothing. We know God has a plan. We have learned to change our life style and you know what. It's really ok.

We had our first Thanksgiving without the girls. We did not have the extra money to go see them nor bring them home. That was hard. But we lived. The girls came home for Christmas break and we have had a really good visit. We learned along time ago it is not about the gifts we get.. it is about the birth of Christ and what we can give back.

The girls are in St. Louis for Urbana.. a missions conference with 16,000 Christian college students. They will be there through New Years Eve. What more could a mom ask for than to have her kids at a Christian Conference for New Years Eve. They have both fell in love with God. They teach Bible studies on campus... They feed the homeless on Sundays.. and help out with youth groups at church.

We are so proud of the girls. They will be coming back here and we will have one more week before they have to go back to college. Ryan is busy filling out apps for Grad School. Not sure where she will end up yet. Sam is doing good this year and moving forward with her studies and finding what she wants to do. She has been dating Brandon for a year now. We really like him, they are just dating and getting to know each other with what little bit of spare time they have.

I am looking forward to the new year. I don't know what all God has planed but I have peace and I know that His plan is always the best. The thing I want more than anything is not to miss Him or not to be disobedient to what He tells me to do. I'm determined to have a closer walk with Him no matter what. I want to be able to hear His voice so clearly that there is never a doubt of what I need to do or say. I pray this for my husband and my girls also. Bottom line I want to make a difference in what ever way God needs me to.

Well I will be better about posting. Take care till next time. You can follow me on Facebook also.
