I'm back! Wow allot has happened since the last blog. Where do I start --
Well Scott has been working part time with the census, so he has been MIA, but it has been good. We are really wanting to go on a cruse for our 25th wedding anniversary, so we have been able to put every bit of this money back so far. We are hoping that we will not need it for something else and this is what we can use it for.
What a trip to FL we had. To save money we borrowed a truck from a friend (which I hate doing) and we borrowed the church trailer. Well it took us an extra 5 hours to get there cause we kept blowing tires on the trailer. It has been so long since the trailer had been used, that they had dry rotted... oh what fun that was. And the whole time we were waiting to hear news on my dad, he had a scare with some congestive hear t failure. He is well now. Well once there we first worked on getting Sam moved off campus and into her new apartment. Then to graduation!! Next on to pack up Ryan and bring her stuff home. We did not stop!!! Now to update you on the girls:
Ryan: Graduated college!!! Cum Ladua She has two degrees!! One in Physics and one in Space Science. She got a job at JPL ( NASA) in Pasadena California this summer. It was a little stressful tiring to find housing because it is so expensive, but her and 5 other interns got together and are sharing a house for the 10 weeks. So that should be interesting.-, but it will save her some money After that it will be on to St. Louis MO for grad school. She will be attending Washington University there. They made her an offer of 5 years tuition, plus a very healthy stipend, plus summer work. YAY!! We are on our way now to St. Louis to try to find her an apartment because there will be no time later. She did take a few days off after graduation and went on a cruise. She loved it and deserved it. It was hard leaving her friends back in FL, but she is ready and excited to move on and see what God has next for her.
Sam: Sam kicked butt this semester in college. She worked hard and it paid off! She is staying the summer in FL. She got the job she was wanted. She is working at the Scott Center. It is a research center for Autism. They are letting her work with the kids this summer. She has been assigned 2 of them. She is so excited and is loving it. She also found out that some of this she can count for her 1000 hours required to go toward getting her certification in ABA. So she is settled in and working. She is hoping to make it home for a few days sometime this summer. But she has Brandon there, so I don't think she is missing us too much.. lol
Well I finished teaching the internship class at church for the summer. Missing it already, but the break is nice.
We went to Pastor Michael and Dana's wedding last Sunday. It was so nice, and to watch two people so much in love. So breathe taking.
Our nephew Travis Anderson is graduating boot camp tomorrow from the Marines. Wish we could have been there for that, but he has a great support team. We are proud of him.
Well that is all for now. I will try to update more often... sure you will... lol!
