What a Ride

It has been a busy summer... Like where did it go. After Ryan's graduation, she took a cruse then came back to SC. She was home for 3 weeks, during those 3 weeks, we gather items up for her new apartment, refinished a kitchen table and chairs. Made a trip to St. Louis to find her an apartment. We did not stop. Then it was time for the Road trip to California. I rode out with her. What a ride. We had fun. Once there my dear friend Ed Greenwood came and picked me up and I got to spend some time with him. I had not seen him in 11 years. He was a good visit. So back home we were settled in for the summer. Scott still working the Census, so we did not get allot of down time at all.Sam got to come home the first week in August. She got home in time to watch Scott do his 8 laps at the Dale Jarred Racing Adventure. He has so much fun. It was wroth the money. Sam got her first sewing lesson while she was home. She made a skirt!! Yay Sam. About a week after she went back to FL. we packed all of Ryan's stuff up in a moving truck and headed to ST. Louis. Thanks to Steward, we unloaded everything across a court yard and up 2 flights of narrow stairs. Scott spend the next couple days putting things together. Then he flew out to California to drive Ryan's car back, while I stayed there with Riley and unpacked everything I could. Finally, Scott back.. then Ryan flies to now her new home. Riley was so glad to see her. We spent a couple of days finishing up things, then headed back to SC. So that has been our summer.

Today is Sam's 21st birthday. We so wish we were there with her to celebrate. She has grown up so much. We are so glad that as most want to drink on this big day, that she has put Christ first in her life and has made the choice not to go down that road. Way to go Sam!

Well I'm going to do my best to keep better at this. I know I always say that.....

Scott and I are working very hard on re focusing some things in our lives, and ministry. We feel like we are missing something and that is the last thing we want to do. So keep us in prayer as we see what God is saying to us.

We have so much we need to do around the house it is unreal. But hopefully with some careful planning and some increased finances, we will get there.

Well that is all for now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!
